Not quite the fairest of all.
Disney’s Snow White holds a special place in my heart—it was the first movie I ever saw in a cinema as a kid. I was completely mesmerized by the animation, the music, and that old-school Disney magic. So stepping into this remake, I wasn’t expecting it to recapture that, but I was hoping for something special.
There’s been a lot of online hate for this one, and honestly? I don’t think it’s that bad. Is it necessary? No. But is it a disaster? Also no.
If there’s one reason to watch this remake, it’s Rachel Zegler. She’s genuinely great as Snow White, bringing warmth and charm to the role. She carries the entire film on her shoulders, and without her, this might have been a complete mess.
And then there’s Gal Gadot.
Look, I love a good villain, but her Evil Queen is... rough. Just when you think she can’t get any worse, she tries to sing—and well, let’s just say it’s not a Disney highlight.
There’s one area where this remake absolutely delivers—it's visually stunning, including the CGI dwarves, and the furry critters look fantastic. They’ve nailed the whimsical Disney aesthetic, and the visuals are easily the best part of the film.
The songs, though? They’re fine. Nothing truly bad, but none of them have that classic Disney magic. You won’t walk out of the theater humming any new tunes - 'Whistle while you work' however....can't get that out of my head!
✅ Rachel Zegler is fantastic and carries the movie.
✅ Visually stunning, with gorgeous CGI dwarves and cute critters.
✅ It has some genuinely sweet moments.
❌ Gal Gadot’s performance is rough, and her singing doesn’t help.
❌ The songs lack Disney magic—nothing memorable.
❌ Feels unnecessary—adds little to the original classic.
Disney’s Snow White doesn’t deserve the extreme hate it’s getting online. It’s a visually stunning film with sweet moments, but it’s also just kind of… there.
It’s not a disaster, but it’s not particularly special, either.
